Georgia College's Max Noah Singers will embark on their annual tour Monday, Dec. 16, singing holiday songs in various cities in Georgia. They will finish with a homecoming performance in Milledgeville on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Five sets of songs, connected by poetry readings, include settings of traditional carols, Latin motets, and original compositions about the season. Audiences will be treated with holiday favorites like "Ding, Dong, Merrily on High" and "Christmas Time Is Here." The concert will close with Palestrina's "Adoramus Te," the Georgia College Alma Mater, and "Silent Night."
The Max Noah Singers begin their journey on Monday, Dec. 16, with recruiting performances and visits in high schools in Henry County. That night, at 7:00 p.m., they will perform a concert at Monticello Presbyterian Church in Monticello. On Tuesday, the group will travel to Jackson, Forsyth, and Madison for high school visits and end the day with a concert at Walker United Methodist Church in Greensboro.
