CADILLAC ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

PARKING AND SIGN SETBACK VARIANCE APPLICATION

1021 N MITCHELL, CADILLAC, MICHIGAN

The Cadillac Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct a public hearing at its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at the Cadillac Administrative Office, 200 North Lake Street, Cadillac, Michigan 49601 for the receipt of comment on an application filed by Woodrow Isaacs on behalf of Wexford Community Credit Union at 1021 N Mitchell St. The property is zoned B-3, General Business District. The property consists of Parcel Numbers: 10-084-00-078-00; S 20 FT OF LOT 7 & THE N 100 FT OF LOT 8 BLK 7, BLK V. G.A.MITCHELLS PLAT OF THE NE 1/4 SEC 33 T22N R9W. CITY OF CADILLAC, 10-084-00-079-00; THE EAST 35 FT OF MDOT RAILROAD FORMERLY PENN CENTRAL FROM NORTH LINE OF GUNN STREET NORTH 20 FT OF SOUTH LOT LINE OF LOT 7 BLK V G A MITCHELL PALT OF NE QUARTER OF SEC 33 T22N-R9W CITY OF CADILLAC 10-084-00-080-00; S 50 FT OF N 150 FT LOT 8, BLK V. G A MITCHELLS PLAT OF NE 1/4 SEC 33-22-9, CITY OF CADILLAC, and 10-084-00-081-00; N 50 FT OF S 100 FT LOT 8, BLK V. G A MITCHELLS PLAT OF NE 1/4 SEC 33-22-9, CITY OF CADILLAC. Pursuant to planned building and site improvements, the applicant has requested variances from the standards of Section 46-659 and Section 46-664 of the Cadillac City Zoning Ordinance. Pursuant to Section 46-659, the applicant requests a parking space variance of 4 spaces resulting in the provision of 28 spaces. Section 46-659 requires 32 spaces. Pursuant to Section 46-664 of the Cadillac Zoning Ordinance, the applicant requests a sign setback variance of 8 feet from the east property line of Parcel 10-084-00-078-00 resulting in a setback of 2 feet. Section 46-664 requires a setback of 10 feet.

The application may be reviewed at the city offices at 200 N. Lake Street between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Questions or written comments regarding the above application should be directed to the Community Development Department, 200 N. Lake Street, Cadillac, MI 49601. Written comments must be received at the Cadillac Administrative Offices no later than 5:00 p.m. of the public hearing date to be included in the public hearing record.
