Portion of South Street to Temporarily Close December 13

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that westbound South Street from South Cotner Boulevard to South 40th Street will close beginning Friday, December 13 for utility work. Access to homes in the area will be maintained. The sidewalk on the north side of South Street will also be closed. This work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, December 20.

The recommended detour is South 48th Street to Normal Boulevard to South 40th Street.

StarTran Route 40-Heart Hospital will be detoured during this work. For more information on StarTran routes and detours, visit lincoln.ne.gov/transit or call 402-476-1234.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around this closure. LTU appreciates the public's patience during this closure and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
