The Bowling Green Police Division will be offering a Late Night Establishment Employee Training (LNEET) session on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. This important training, designed for employees and management staff of local businesses that sell alcoholic beverages or remain open to the public during overnight hours, will run from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Police Division's Training Room, located at 175 W. Wooster St.

Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate of attendance. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended. To reserve a spot or for more information, please contact Detective Alyssa Shimel at 419-352-1131 or by Emailing Alyssa Shimel. Registration will close at 8:00 AM on Sept. 10, 2024.

The LNEET program will cover key topics including civil liability, state and local liquor laws, and the recognition of fake identification. Additionally, the session will provide education on the prevention and mitigation of discriminatory conduct, ensuring that local businesses operate responsibly and in compliance with the law.

"We encourage all employees and management staff of bars, retail outlets, and other businesses open during late-night hours to take advantage of this free training," said Lieutenant Ryan Tackett from the Bowling Green Police Division. "It's a valuable opportunity to enhance the safety and legal compliance of our local establishments."

This session is offered at no cost to attendees, underscoring the Police Division's commitment to supporting the Bowling Green community through proactive education and engagement.
