London Luton Airport, best in its category, according to Airports Council International

4 July 2024 This London airport, managed by Aena, has been declared the winner in the category of 10 - 25 million passengers.

The Executive Vice-Chairman of Aena, Javier Marín; the CEO of London Luton Airport, Alberto Martín; and Aena's Director of International Subsidiaries, Rodrigo Marabini, collected the award at the gala held in Istanbul.

This recognition highlights the Luton team's commitment to improving passenger experience.

According to Javier Marín, the Executive Vice-Chairman of Aena: "Luton is one of Aena's main infrastructures". London Luton Airport has been recognised by Airports Council International (ACI) at the 2024 Best Airport Awards. Operated by the consortium London Luton Airport Operations Ltd. -LLAOL- of which Aena is a 51% shareholder, the airport won the award for Best Airport in Europe (10 - 25 million passengers).

This award is given out in different categories, based on size and passenger numbers, and highlights airports' commitment to improving passenger experience at airport facilities.

The award was collected by the Executive Vice-Chairman of Aena, Javier Marín; the CEO of London Luton Airport, Alberto Martín; and Aena's Director of International Subsidiaries, Rodrigo Marabini, at the gala dinner held in Istanbul.

Javier Marín pointed out that "London Luton Airport is one of Aena's main infrastructures and, for us, a key asset. The airport is managed by a professional team in line with Aena's goal: to offer passengers, airlines, and the entire territory that it serves, 'the safest, most efficient, sustainable and welcoming airports in the world, becoming catalysts for the economy and tourism, and generating value for our shareholders, customers and society as a whole'".
