Shots fired near Tanglewood Park

(Ottawa) - The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is seeking witnesses to a shooting that occurred last night in the Tanglewood area of the West end.

Just after 10:30 pm Frontline Patrol officers heard the sound of possible shots fired in the Tanglewood area.

Responding units located multiple casings and other evidence that was seized near the entrance of Tanglewood Park. Information received is that several vehicles fled the area prior to police arrival.

At this time, no victim(s) have been identified nor have attended Ottawa-area hospitals. If anyone is aware of someone injured, please call 911.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police.
