Oral Health Program Receives New CDC Funding

The Oral Health Program (OHP) has been awarded a $1.14 million cooperative agreement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to conduct activities to:

  • Increase access to evidence-based preventive dental services, such as dental sealants.
  • Provide technical assistance for community water fluoridation activities.
  • Improve oral health and chronic disease surveillance using secondary data sources to describe oral health trends.
  • Increase awareness of infection prevention and control guidelines.

The OHP is one of 15 state oral health programs to receive this new three-year funding.
