House Abraham Accords Caucus Commemorates Four-Year Anniversary of Historic Agreement

Washington, D.C. - Today is the four-year anniversary of the historic Abraham Accords Declaration, which was signed by the United States, Israel, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates on September 15, 2020. This agreement, which later included Morocco, laid the foundation for maintaining and strengthening peace in the Middle East and around the world. To commemorate the anniversary, House Abraham Accords Caucus Co-Chairs Ann Wagner (MO-02), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05), Brad Schneider (IL-10), and David Trone (MD-06) released the following statement.

"Four years ago, the Abraham Accords were signed, forging a path towards strengthened and sustained peace in the Middle East. The importance of this historic agreement cannot be overstated as Israel continues its fight for self-determination against Iran and its proxies, including Hamas. The resilience of the Abraham Accords - and the foundation of respect, human dignity, and freedom they are built on - should give us all great hope that our brightest days are still to come. Together, we can and will continue to build on the progress we've made and achieve a safer and more prosperous future for the next generation."

The Abraham Accords seek tolerance and respect for every person in order to make the world a place where all can enjoy a life of dignity and hope - no matter their race, faith, or ethnicity.

Founded in January 2022, the Abraham Accords Caucus strives to build on the success of the historic agreement by serving as a forum for identifying and advancing opportunities for strategic partnerships and alliances that mutually benefit the United States, Israel, Abraham Accord countries, and other nations around the world.
