Impact of Media on Formation of Voter Confidence in Elections to be Discussed at Meeting of International Youth Discussion Club “Tavricheskiy”

How are voters influenced by the media? How do they influence the formation of trust in elections? These and other questions will be raised at the meeting of the International Youth Discussion Club "Tavricheskiy". The event will be held on 7 November in the Tavricheskiy Palace - the IPA CIS headquarters.

About 500 representatives of youth election commissions, students, postgraduates and young teachers representing partner universities of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan will take part in the face-to-face and online format.

The organizer is the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD), co-organizers - the Saratov State Law Academy and the Ural State Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev.

The experts at the Discussion Club "Tavricheskiy" meeting will be:

  • Ivan Mushket, the Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat - IPA CIS IIMDD Director, Doctor of Law, Professor;
  • Maxim Meiksin, the Chair of the St. Petersburg Election Commission;
  • Igor Minin, the Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport;
  • Dmitriy Baryshnikov, the Acting Head of the Department of World Politics, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of St. Petersburg State University, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor, the IPA CIS IIMDD expert;
  • Inga Burikova, the Head of the educational direction "Personnel Management", "Psychology", the Associate Professor of the Faculty of Social Technologies of the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration;
  • Zalina Khubetsova, the Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism Theory and Mass Communications at the High School of Journalism and Mass Communications of St. Petersburg State University.
