Voting: a young man's perspective

I had to vote differently on April 29th for change to occur. Like most citizens, I understood that It begins with me. We are confronting many challenges as a society, and everyone has something to say about what is not functioning in this country, from potholes on the roads to high levels of crime. Crime, gender-based violence, and corruption should be a thing of the past.

The president's State of the Nation speech seemed persuasive. I hope they hold each other accountable and serve the citizens of our country. People voted differently this time, looking for service delivery, job prospects, and a viable healthcare system. The president's speech, in some ways, spoke to everyone in the nation.

The government appears to understand what the nation needs, but it lacks the leadership to put what is said into action.

Change-change, change. The public has spoken.

To advance the nation, we need implementation, accountability, and the GNU to prioritize the needs of the people. Only in this way can we have faith in the leadership and know that they have the best interests of the nation at heart.
