SIUE ERTC Celebrates Graduation of Water Quality Control Operations Class of 2024

On July 26, 2024, the Environmental Resources Training Center (ERTC) at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville celebrated the graduation of 11 students from its Water Quality Control Operations Program. With 91% of the class passing water certification exams in Illinois, the ERTC continues to be a significant force in training and educating the next generation of drinking water and wastewater treatment professionals.

"It was a pleasure teaching this class. Although small, they worked together beautifully and many of them have already received job offers," said Matthew Maas, director of the ERTC. "They will be excellent representatives of the ERTC's Water Quality Control Operations Program and will be strong assets to the water and wastewater industry."
