Joint Regeneration of North Atlanta Agreed to Pay $66,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Orthoses that Did Not Meet Medicare Requirements

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Joint Regeneration of North Atlanta, LLC (Joint Regeneration), Georgia, agreed to pay $66,247.50 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Joint Regeneration submitted claims to Medicare related to prefabricated knee orthoses that failed to comply with Medicare's Standard Written Order requirements, lacked fitting note or appropriate signatures and credentials, or failed to accurately identify the referring clinician.
