On-campus Student Job Fair Offering Free Recruiting Tables to Campus Employers

The Office of Career Development and Professional Connections is offering free recruiting tables at its upcoming Amherst Area Job Fair to on-campus departments and programs that hire students each year.<_o3a_p>

On Friday, Sept. 6, from noon-3 p.m. in the Campus Center Auditorium, the Career Hub will host a career fair for employers in the greater Amherst area who are seeking to hire students for internship opportunities. As many on-campus employers are also looking to connect with students for work opportunities, tables will also be available to campus employers to connect with potential students to hire for internships, part-time and work-study jobs.<_o3a_p>

This fair will be open to students of all majors and all years and was attended last year by over 1,400 students. <_o3a_p>

Career Services will provide tables and chairs and campus employers need only provide one or two people from their organizations to discuss the employment opportunities offered.<_o3a_p>

To reserve a table, contact Tiffany Appleton, associate director of employer relations in the Office of Career Development and Professional Connections, at [email protected] and provide the following:

• The contact person's name and email who will be attending the fair.<_o3a_p>
• The position(s) for that will be recruited at the fair. Provide a link to the postings or attach a description.<_o3a_p>
• Whether applicants need to be of a certain major or class year.<_o3a_p>
• Whether the position(s) require work study eligibility<_o3a_p>

The deadline for table reservation is Friday, Aug. 23.<_o3a_p>
