Members of the 2024-2026 Raleigh City Council term were sworn into office at a ceremony Dec. 2 at Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts. The ceremony, which was open to the public, was attended by several hundred people.
Here are the members of the 2024-2026 Raleigh City Council:
Janet Cowell - Mayor
Stormie Denise Forte - City Council, At-Large
Jonathan Lambert-Melton - City Council, At-Large
Mitchell Silver - City Council, District A
Megan Patton - City Council, District B
Corey Branch - City Council, District C
Jane Harrison - City Council, District D
Christina Jones - City Council, District E
The City of Raleigh Joint Color Guard performed the Presentation of Colors at the opening of the event, followed by a drum presentation and land acknowledgment by the Triangle Native American Society. The Honorable Judge Paul Ridgeway administered the oaths of office while Lisa Yebuah of Southeast Raleigh Table provided the invocation. After the formal program, guests were treated to music by members of The North Carolina Symphony.
Their first regular City Council meeting is Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. and will be live-streamed on the City's website and YouTube channel.
