On November 9, 2024, at about 8:00 a.m. State Police of Clifton Park responded to the reports of an erratic vehicle southbound on I-87 in Clifton Park, NY. The vehicle was located stopped on State Route 146 in Clifton Park, where Troopers identified the driver as Jonathan X. Bessette, 27, of Cohoes, NY. Bessette was arrested for Driving While Ability impaired by Drugs. He was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where he was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), and a sample was collected to determine the drug content of his blood. Further investigation determined Bessette has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. He was issued tickets returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on November 14, 2024, and released.
On November 9, 2024, at about 2:43 p.m., State Police of Schodack responded to I-90 eastbound in East Greenbush, NY, for the reports of a one-car crash off the roadway. The vehicle's driver was uninjured and identified as Michelle L. Marshall, 41, of Voorheesville, NY. Marshall was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Schodack for processing, where she recorded a 0.22% BAC. Marshall was issued tickets returnable to the East Greenbush Town Court on November 21, 2024, and released to a sober third party.
On November 9, 2024, at about 10:18 p.m., State Police of Saratoga stopped a vehicle in the area of State Route 67 in Malta, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Ryan A. Hendel, 47, of Mechanicville, NY. Hendel was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Saratoga for processing, where he recorded a 0.26% BAC. Hendel was issued tickets returnable to the Malta Town Court on December 5, 2024, and released.
On November 10, 2024, at about 12:29 a.m. State Police of Princetown stopped a vehicle on State Street in Schenectady, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Thein Tun Huang, 50, of Albany, NY. Huang was arrested for Driving While intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Princetown for processing, where he refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood. Further investigation determined Huang has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. He was then transported to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
