Kings District RCMP make arrest after truck theft

July 16, 2024, New Perth, PEI - On July 15 at 3:22 p.m. Kings District RCMP responded to a theft of commercial delivery truck. Police located the truck and arrested the driver in a wooded area nearby.

On July 15, 2024 at 3:22 p.m. Kings District RCMP received a report of a stolen flat deck commercial truck taken from a local business. Police quickly located the stolen truck abandoned on Route 22, and found the driver in a wooded area nearby. A 29-year old Kings County man was arrested and provided a false name to police. He was released on strict conditions and will appear in court on August 8, 2024 at 9:30 in Georgetown Provincial Court to answer to the theft and obstructing a peace officer.
