State Police arrest Oneonta man for possessing a stolen vehicle

On June 27, 2024, State Police, with the assistance of the New York State Forensic Investigation Center, arrested Joseph C. Spataro, 29, of Oneonta, NY, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the second degree.

On June 2, 2023, at about 8:04 p.m., while on patrol, Troopers located a parked and unoccupied vehicle in the area of Crossgate Mall Road in Guilderland, NY. The investigation determined the vehicle had been reported stolen from the village of Schenevus, NY, on May 1, 2023. The investigation determined that Spatora allegedly possessed and parked the vehicle at the location where it was recovered.

Spatora surrendered himself to SP Latham, where he was arrested and processed. He was arraigned at the Guilderland Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
