Visit of the Uzbek Delegation to the Czech Republic

To explore new avenues of labor migration and improve the quality of professional training, a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullaev visited the Czech Republic. The delegation included representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Migration Agency, and private entrepreneurs.

A business forum was held in Prague with the participation of Czech entrepreneurs, organized by the Uzbek Consulate General in Frankfurt in cooperation with the Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. During the presentations, the importance of the forum for strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries was emphasized. Special attention was given to Uzbekistan's readiness to become a reliable platform for Czech businesses and to cooperation in the field of labor migration.

Negotiations were held with Czech recruitment companies Synergie and AMBOSELI. As a result, an agreement was reached on the preparation and employment of Uzbek specialists in the Czech Republic, including bus drivers, heavy-duty truck drivers, locomotive engineers, and specialists in IT technologies and logistics.

A meeting was held with Radim Zak, Regional Coordinator of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, where issues of migration cooperation were discussed, including improving conditions for labor migrants and their adaptation in foreign labor markets.

The delegation met with the leadership of the European Institute of Applied Sciences and Management (EIASM), during which an offer was made to open professional development courses in IT, finance, management, and international business in Uzbekistan.

In the framework of dialogue with compatriots, a meeting took place with Dinara Zakhrudinova, the head of the Uzbek diaspora in Prague. The discussion focused on supporting the Uzbek community in the Czech Republic, developing cultural and social initiatives, and assisting in the employment of Uzbek citizens in the Czech labor market.

The visit strengthened business ties between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic, promoted the interests of Uzbek labor migrants, and expanded cooperation in the fields of business and migration.
