MTA Adds Service for World Series Fans at Yankee Stadium

Increased Metro-North Service to and from Yankees-E 153 St

Increased ​​ Train Service at 161 St-Yankee Stadium

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced that the New York City Subway and Metro-North Railroad will add additional service to help fans get to and from Yankee Stadium next Monday and Tuesday (and Wednesday, if necessary) as the New York Yankees face the Los Angeles Dodgers in this year's World Series. Monday night's game at 8:08 p.m. will be the third game in the best-of-seven World Series contest.

New York City Transit

During each of the three World Series games, all northbound ​express trains will be making game day stops at 161 St-Yankee Stadium ​​​.

After each game, ​and ​train service at 161 St-Yankee Stadium will be supplemented with extra trains to increase capacity at the station.

Additional NYC Transit personnel will be stationed at 161 St-Yankee Stadium each day to provide support on the platforms and mezzanine.

Metro-North Railroad

Metro-North will operate extra services to Yankee Stadium on all three lines, including our Yankee Clipper Trains to the Game, a one-seat ride directly to and from the stadium.

On the Hudson Line, eight trains from Poughkeepsie and Croton-Harmon will make game day stops at Yankees-E 153rd Street to accommodate fans, and there will be two extra trains from Croton-Harmon and Ossining operating express to the stadium; the extra trains depart Croton-Harmon at 3:54 p.m. and 4:16 p.m., arriving at Yankees- E 153rd Street station at 4:38 p.m. and 4:54 p.m. After the game, eight Hudson Line trains to Croton-Harmon and Poughkeepsie will make extra stops at the stadium to take fans home, and there will be two extra Poughkeepsie express trains and two extra Croton-Harmon local trains.

On the Harlem Line, there will be a Yankee Clipper train to the game that departs Southeast at 4:26 p.m. and arrives at the stadium at 5:49 p.m., making stops at Brewster, Golden's Bridge, Mount Kisco, Chappaqua, North White Plains, White Plains, Hartsdale, Scarsdale, Crestwood and Bronxville. After the game, there will be a Yankee Clipper train from the stadium making all stops between Mt. Vernon West and Southeast. Harlem Line passengers can also ride any regularly scheduled Harlem Line train to Harlem- 125th Street station and transfer to a frequent shuttle train for the short 5-minute ride to the stadium.

On the New Haven Line, there will be two Yankee Clipper trains to the game that depart New Haven at 4:07 pm and 4:47 p.m., arriving at the stadium at 6:08 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Both trains stop at West Haven, Milford, Stratford, Bridgeport, Fairfield-Black Rock, Fairfield, Westport, South Norwalk, Darien, Noroton Heights, Stamford, Greenwich, Rye, Larchmont and New Rochelle. After the game there will be four Yankee Clipper trains: Two New Haven trains will operate express to Stamford and then all stops to New Haven; one New Haven train will make all stops between Mt. Vernon East and New Haven; and one Stamford local train will make all stops between Mt. Vernon East and Stamford. New Haven Line passengers can also ride any regularly scheduled New Haven Line train to Harlem-125th Street station and transfer to a frequent shuttle train for the short 5-minute ride to the stadium.

Shuttle and regularly-scheduled trains will also operate between Grand Central Terminal, Harlem - 125th Street, and Yankees - E 153rd Street which connect with regularly scheduled Harlem and New Haven Line trains, and also provide service for passengers connecting at Grand Central from Long Island Rail Road trains via Grand Central Madison.

Access-A-Ride

Access-A-Ride paratransit has a designated stop at Yankee Stadium located on East 161st Street at Macombs Dam Bridge near Gate 4.

To book a trip customers can use MY AAR online or in the MTA app or call AAR at (877) 337-2017. When booking with an agent, customers should indicate they would like to be dropped off at the Yankee Stadium AAR Bus Stop.
