TAMPA, Fla.-Moffitt Cancer Center is proud to announce its recognition in the 2024 Digital Health Most Wired Survey, conducted by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). Among nearly 48,000 health care facilities surveyed, Moffitt ranked above its peers in critical categories including analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure and patient engagement.
CHIME's Most Wired recognition is awarded based on a 10-level scale, where level 10 represents the most advanced use of technology to improve care. The cancer center achieved a level 7 special recognition for its ambulatory and acute efforts. Reaching this level indicates a high degree of digital integration, with significant advancements in care delivery, operational efficiency and improved patient outcomes. This is the fifth year CHIME has recognized Moffitt as one of the Most Wired organizations.
The survey evaluates the adoption, integration and impact of technologies across health care organizations, ranging from early stage adopters to industry leaders. In an era marked by increasing cybersecurity threats and evolving care models, Moffitt's focus on technological advancement is crucial to staying at the forefront of patient care.
"Moffitt's achievement in this survey highlights our commitment to leveraging innovative technology to enhance patient care," said Sissy Schilling, Moffitt's chief information officer. "Through digital health solutions, we're not only streamlining our operations but also ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care tailored to their individual needs."
Looking ahead, the next 30 years promise exciting opportunities for health care, driven by emerging technologies. With advancements in digital health, such as improved data sharing, artificial intelligence and more secure platforms, Moffitt aims to continue enhancing patient care and improving outcomes.
