Tats for Tails: Make a Mark on the Lives of Homeless Animals

Published on June 27, 2024

Who knew getting some cool ink could mean helping some of Denver's most vulnerable animals?

That's the design behind Denver Animal Shelter's (DAS) newest fundraiser, Tats for Tails, on Saturday, June 29 from 12-6 p.m. in partnership with Think Tank Tattoo at 172 S. Broadway in Denver.

For just $200, tattoo artists at Thank Tank Tattoo will ink your arm or leg with a sleek, stylish tattoo from animal-inspired, pre-designed flash sheets. Plus, there are an additional 40 designs you can view in person. Tattoos will be about the size of a fist and limited to arms and legs. Every cent benefits the shelter's homeless pets. The event is cash-only. Please bring enough to tip your talented tattoo artist. There will also be food and drink trucks on-site.

More information is available on the event website.

DAS is an open-admission shelter home to nearly 8,700 lost and abandoned pets each year. It takes in every animal 365-days-a-year, 24/7, regardless of space available, age, breed, health, behavior or physical condition.
