Investigation into Fatal Crash at 63 East Crosstimbers Street

July 17, 2024- Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 63 East Crosstimbers Street about 12:50 a.m. today (July 17).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer D. Hoang reported:

The male, a pedestrian, was lying down in a moving lane of traffic at the above address when he was struck by a gray Nissan Versa traveling westbound. Paramedics were called and pronounced the male deceased.

The male driver, 61, who did not show signs of intoxication, was questioned and released.

Witnesses told investigators the pedestrian was acting erratically prior to lying down in the roadway.
