NOPD Identifies Suspect in Theft of Cremated Remains & Bicycle

The NOPD has identified a suspect in the theft of cremated remains and a bicycle from the 3700 block of Dauphine Street on July 18, 2024.

At about 5:00 p.m., two men were caught on video surveillance entering a secured apartment complex and stealing the victim's bicycle as well as a package containing cremated remains.

Through investigation, one suspect has been identified and charged with theft in connection with this incident. He is identified as Andrew Michael Ingham, (pictured white male, DOB: 11-3-1990).

Additionally, there are several active warrants out for Ingham for burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and illegal possession of stolen things.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Ingham or other information, including the identity of the second perpetrator is asked to contact Fifth District detectives at (504) 658-6050 or Crimestoppers anonymously at (504) 822-1111.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
