Man Killed in Downtown Shooting Identified (Photo)

The victim who died from the shooting on October 6, 2024, has been identified as Lee A. Mauras, 22. His family has been notified of his death and provided the attached photographs of him for public distribution.
The Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be by gunshot and the manner of death to be homicide.

One male is dead after a shooting in the Downtown Portland.
On Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 2:41 a.m., Portland Police Officers assigned to Central Precinct's Entertainment District Detail heard shots fired near West Burnside Street and Southwest 3rd Avenue. They responded along with Central Precinct patrol officers and EMS and they found a male in a parking lot who was deceased.
The suspect or suspects left the scene and no immediate arrests were made.
The Portland Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene to investigate. During the investigation, West Burnside Street and Southwest 3rd Avenue were closed. The roadways are expected to open shortly.
