Reservoirs Receive Refurbishments

Two of Padre Dam's reservoirs, the East County Square Reservoir and Jerry Johnson Reservoir, recently underwent refurbishments. The District routinely maintains and upgrades tanks as they age to extend their lifespan.

Both reservoirs underwent minor repairs, were recoated and received new cathodic protection systems, which helps slow rust. In addition, the Jerry Johnson Tank received a new aluminum roof.

With these refurbishments, both tanks can now get back to storing and providing water for their communities.
