Lieutenant Jeff Kelly is celebrating 25 years of service with the City of Baytown. In 1997 Jeff obtained his Paramedic Certification from San Jacinto College. Jeff began his journey with the City of Baytown joining the Health Department in 1999 as a Paramedic and quickly rose to the position of Paramedic Supervisor by 2003. In 2013, following the Fire & Health EMS merger, he transitioned to the Baytown Fire Department as a Lieutenant EMS Supervisor.

In 2019, Lieutenant Kelly embraced new challenges by joining the Baytown Fire Marshal's Office, taking on roles as an Arson Investigator and Deputy Fire Marshal. He completed the Police Academy at Houston Community College in 2020. Since then, Lieutenant Kelly has achieved a series of advanced certifications, including Advanced Investigator, Advanced Arson Investigator, Advanced Fire Inspector, Plans Examiner, and Basic Fire Marshal.

Throughout his career, Lieutenant Kelly has been recognized for his commitment to public safety. He was awarded a Public Service Award for his EMS performance in his earlier EMS years, and the Medal of Merit in 2014 for his actions during a shrimp boat rescue. His dedication was also evident during his response efforts in the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey, Ike, and Rita.

Jeff has been happily married to his wife, Lisa, for 26 years, and together they have two daughters-Sydney, a proud Red Raider at Texas Tech University ("Wreck 'Em Tech"), and Sarah, a dedicated Bobcat at Texas State University ("Eat 'Em Up Cats"). Outside of work, Jeff enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending quality time with his family. Lieutenant Kelly, thank you for an amazing 25 years of service to the City of Baytown.
