NASHVILLE, Tenn. - U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) held a press conference with parents and advocates thanking them for their leadership and urging the House to pass the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) as the Senate moved forward with the legislation with an 86-1 vote. This bipartisan legislation would implement robust measures to protect children from various online threats and hold Big Tech accountable for harming children.

"We have broad bipartisan support in the House. I've talked with a lot of former House colleagues, and they are ready to move forward on this. They want a vote on the floor, so we're encouraged by that and by support from leadership to move this forward," said Senator Blackburn.

"We all have sons and daughters - we know how vulnerable they can be," said Senator Blumenthal. "[Big Tech's] business model is to get more eyeballs for longer periods of time, so they get more advertisers and more dollars. Those profits are derived from destroying lives of your children. We can't bring back those lives, but we can save others."<_u13a_p>
