ATLANTA- NERC staff will join international electric power and energy experts at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers'(IEEE) Power & Energy Society (PES) General Meeting taking place July 21-25 in Seattle. The meeting, "The New Electric System: Reinvention and Resilience,"will provide a forum for industry experts to share and discuss the latest issues and developments in the dynamic energy landscape.
The following NERC staff members are participating as conference panelists as well as authors and co-authors of peer-reviewed technical papers:
"Collaboration and coordination with industry experts is a vital component of NERC's mission as the Electric Reliability Organization,"said Lauby, NERC's senior vice president and chief engineer. "The annual IEEE PES meeting provides a tremendous opportunity for us to share with, and learn from, industry colleagues about a whole spectrum of risks and developments in the reliable operation of the bulk power system. NERC's strong representation at the meeting is indicative of our leadership on current and projected reliability, security and resilience issues."
