Community Update from the Pinal County Sheriff's Office

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is aware of a number of school-related threats circling on social media. Some of these vague threats are made towards unspecific schools and are not considered credible. Over the last several days, this has been the trend for schools across Arizona and the nation.

Recently, another circulated "threat" from Combs High School designates a future date. It was determined that a conversation was misheard and spread third-party between students. This incident remains under investigation.

We would like to thank everyone who has called us to report this. Even if a threat is unfounded, it is better to call it in than to let it go unreported.

PCSO treats all threats with the utmost seriousness and our students' safety is of the highest priority. We work closely with our School Resource Officers and local school districts to look into each and every reported incident.

Over the last several days, PCSO has had an increased Deputy presence at several schools in Pinal County out of an abundance of caution.

If you encounter any concerning posts or messages online, please do not repost them. Rather, please report them directly to PCSO at 520-866-5111.
