Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure to Host Transportation Demand Management Summit at Nissan Stadium

In an effort to spread awareness on the range of transportation options available for commuters in Middle Tennessee, the Nashville Department of Transportation (NDOT) and Nashville Connector will host a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) summit at Nissan Stadium on Friday, September 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Transportation Demand Management (TDM) is the use of policies and strategies to maximize the efficiency of transportation systems leading to improved mobility, reduced congestion, and lower vehicle emissions. The day-long summit is a culmination of Nashville's participation in "TDM Week," an annual initiative led by the Association for Commuter Transportation that engages government agencies and area businesses throughout the country to foster more sustainable and safer transportation in their communities.

The event will feature presentations and panel discussions from transit-focused organizations and high-level officials from Middle Tennessee, including:

  • Freddie O'Connell, Mayor of Nashville and Davidson County
  • Diana Alarcon, Director of NDOT
  • Michael Briggs, Director of Transportation Planning, Mayor's Office
  • Kate Guerra, Tennessee Titans Vice President of Communications and Corporate Affairs
  • Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT)
  • Civic Design Center
  • Transportation Management Association (TMA) Group
  • Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee

The summit is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Attendees will have the opportunity to network and engage in discussions throughout the day in ten scheduled sessions.

Register for the TDM Summit.
