Capture the colors with a fall photoshoot

If you are anything like me, as soon as the weather gets below 70, my mind instantly switches to fall mode. When you think of fall, I am sure you think of all the typical things that accompany it. Things like pumpkin spice, crockpot meals, hot cider etc. While of course those are all common topics in this season, people tend to forget all of the other things that this chilly and colorful season brings…One of those being fall photoshoots!

What better time than fall to start those family holiday cards? Beautiful vibrant colors of the leaves, crisp chilly sweater weather, cozy textures, lighting shifts to a more romantic tune.. There are no slim pickings when it comes to magic you can create within photos using simply just the beauty of the season. Macomb County offers so many incredible spots to indulge in this Autumn.

Red and yellow and orange, oh my! The changing leaves really supply endless amounts of photoshoot opportunities. Whether you're looking to jump in a pile of leaves, or just simply walk amongst the foliage in the forest, photo worthy spots are all around us!

Some examples of my favorite spots/things to capture are

  • Pumpkin patches
  • Apple picking
  • Empty roads
  • Forest
  • Home pictures
  • Bonfire nights

Fall is such a great time to get ahead of the game and get holiday pictures done before the true Michigan cold arrives. Whether on a professional camera or even your own cell phone, you will be able to capture some incredible things. Fall time can really transform an otherwise boring location, to a truly remarkable Autumn canvas.

If you don't have time to visit a specific location, look no further than in your own backyard! Set up a simple backdrop, grab some pumpkins or other seasonal decor, and let the ambiance speak for itself.

And of course, don't forget your furry friends! They deserve some fall love too.

There really are so many photoshoot worthy options in Macomb County, you wouldn't beleaf it!
