DCCC Releases New TV Ad in OH-09: “Matters Most”

Today, the DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for OH-09, "Matters Most," highlighting that what matters most to Derek Merrin is banning abortion and overturning the will of Ohio voters.

Last November, voters in OH-09 overwhelmingly supported a ballot measure to codify reproductive rights in the state's constitution and reject Merrin's extreme bill. Ohioans cannot afford to be represented by someone who would back a national abortion ban and roll back the rights voters fought so hard to protect.

The ad - the fifth to run in OH-09 from the DCCC IE - is airing in the Toledo media market beginning today and is part of the committee's previously announced investments in key battleground districts.

"What matters most to me is what the future will look like for my daughters and granddaughters.

But what matters most to Derek Merrin is banning abortion.

Not lowering costs. Not creating jobs.

Just overturning the will of the Ohio voters.

Merrin led the effort for a total abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or even when the life of the mother is at risk.

It matters that we keep Merrin out of Congress."
