Whitehorse RCMP investigate assault with a weapon

July 10 at 8:56 pm Whitehorse RCMP responded to a complaint of an assault with a weapon in the area of Superstore parking lot. A male victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was provide aid by officers until Emergency Medical Services arrived. The scene was held and processed for evidence by Forensic Identification Services. David Arthur Richard Taylor, a 20-year-old male from Whitehorse was identified by police, arrested and charged with assault with a weapon x 2 and utter threats. He was held in custody for a court appearance on July 11. Police are still investigating the matter.
