DALLAS - As part of ongoing improvement efforts across the district from the Bond 2020 program, Dallas ISD invites the community to celebrate the dedication ceremonies of our newest campuses. These new facilities result from a close collaboration between the district and the families they serve.s
Below are the upcoming ceremonies for this week:
Operation Warm and FedEx team up to provide coats for Dallas ISD students
With cooler temperatures arriving, students at K.B. Polk Center for Academically Talented and Gifted will receive a donation of coats from FedEx Cares and Operation Warm. Starting at 9 a.m., tomorrow, Nov. 12, volunteers will visit classrooms to provide free coats for emotional warmth and the confidence to socialize and succeed in hope of a brighter future.
Walmart donation recognizes teachers and supports sports
Beginning at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, Benjamin Franklin International Exploratory Academy will receive a special surprise, courtesy of Walmart and the Dallas Education Foundation. Thanks to a generous $25,000 donation, 29 Dallas ISD middle schools will receive brand new athletic equipment and 10 teachers from Dallas ISD's Educator of the Year program will be recognized for their commitment to teaching excellence. Media is invited to grab visuals of the event and a surprise check presentation inside a classroom.
