Preparing for Challenging Conversations in the Classroom

We are living in a time filled with individual and collective crises, on our campuses, in our communities, our country and our world. Research indicates that this climate of insecurity and uncertainty can lead both students and faculty to experience higher levels of anxiety, whether they are directly impacted by specific events or not. And this anxiety can negatively impact learning in the classroom.

Join us for an interactive workshop in which we explore appropriate strategies for appropriately addressing student concerns about challenging events to ensure that learning can continue in our classrooms as we collectively navigate an increasingly crisis-ridden world.

Facilitator Biography
