Greif Florence Achieves Safety Milestone of 1,000 Days

On October 23, the Florence, Kentucky Steel Drum Plant marked a significant achievement of 1,000 Days Safe.

Corey Adkins, Florence Plant Manager, expressed, "The Florence team commits to safety each day by watching out for one another through active listening while genuinely caring for one another's safety. We have spent years building a strong and capable team to achieve our Zero Harm mindset and goals. We have done this by creating our own thriving community and allowing each other to get to know more than just the worker and build meaningful relationships inside and outside of work. If there is a nugget of wisdom from hard lessons learned over the years that I could pass along to other Greif teams it's this, "Take care of your team, they will tell you how to be successful, you just have to listen."

To express their gratitude, Florence management treated colleagues to a delicious lunch featuring grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, green beans, salad, rolls, and cake. Ole Rosgaard and Kim Kellermann visited the plant to celebrate with all their colleagues.

Pictured below are images from their celebration. With their three-year zero medical incidents milestone set for January 27, 2025, the Florence plant looks forward to sharing more safety news soon.
