Investigation into Deceased Female Found at 1 North Main Street

October 9, 2024- Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found at 1 North Main Street about 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 8).

The identity and cause of death of the female are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Sharp and E. May reported:

Officers responded to a report of a deceased female in White Oak Bayou. The HPD Dive Team responded to the scene and recovered the body from the water. The female is described only as possibly a Hispanic female, approximately 30 to 40 years old.

The investigation is pending the female's cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
