USD News Minute: What you need to know this week at USD

This is your USD News Minute.

Today is Veterans Day and several events on campus will be honoring our USD veteran community. You can attend a Veterans Day mass at Founders Chapel organized by University Ministry and the Military and Veterans Program. That's from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. followed by a reception with food, games, and local veteran organizations at Paseo de Colachis until 2:30 p.m. In the evening, the Student Veteran Organization will be hosting dinner and a game night in Frank's Lounge from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Events are open to all.

November is National Native American Heritage Month and USD will be hosting a series of events to honor the cultures, traditions and achievements of Native Americans. One event will be a sunrise hike coordinated by Outdoor Adventures on Wednesday with President Harris and Tribal Liaison Sahmie Wytewa. To attend, meet outside of Maher Hall at 7:00 a.m. The walk will return to campus by 8:30 a.m.

And gear up USD, the Men's Basketball team will be hosting Portland State tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the JCP. Come out to cheer on your fellow Toreros! Students and staff get in free with their USD ID.
