ICYMI: City of St. Petersburg to Host Hurricane Recovery and Resources Meeting

Nov. 12, 2024 - In the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the City of St. Petersburg is hosting Together, St. Pete: Hurricane Recovery and Resources Meeting to share hurricane recovery information and resources with the community. Attendees are encouraged to pre-register for the event at stpete.org/recovery.

Mayor Kenneth T. Welch, City leadership, and representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), Florida Division of Emergency Management, and Pinellas County will share information about financial assistance options, recovery resources and supports, and permitting and rebuilding, including the City's 49% Rule. It will also serve as an opportunity for St. Pete residents to provide feedback, identify areas of improvement, and offer strategies for future resilience against catastrophic events. 

Feedback from the Together, St. Pete meeting can help inform future discussions hosted by other community organizations and will ensure a collaborative approach toward stronger community preparedness.

Resource tables staffed by representatives from the City, FEMA, and other local organizations will be available starting at 5 p.m. The program, followed by a Q&A session, begins at 6 p.m.
