Traffic Advisory Calaveras County 7/18/24

Highway Lane Closures
State Routes 4, 26 & 49

Calaveras County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Route 4 (SR-4), SR-26 and SR-49 for maintenance and construction operations. Work to occur as follows:

State Route 4

  • Intermittent traffic breaks from Bonanza Mine Road to Appaloosa Road for construction beginning Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Tipton House Road to Country Club Drive for utility beginning Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

State Route 26

  • One-way traffic control from Buckeye Lane to Montgomery Drive for utility work on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • Long-term one-way traffic control at South Fork Mokelumne River Bridge for bridge/guardrail work through July 31, 2024.
  • Long term one-way traffic control at North Fork Mokelumne River Bridge for bridge/guardrail work through July 31, 2024.
  • Note: All trailered vehicles are NOT recommended due to reduced traffic lane width.

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Copello Drive to Passing Lane for tree work beginning Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Passing Lane to Connel Lane for tree work beginning Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
