Las Vegas City Council To Swear In Recently Elected City Council Members And Municipal Court Judges
Officials Were Elected In The June Primary Election
Recently elected City Council members and Municipal Court judges, will be sworn in at the July 17, 2024, City Council meeting that will begin following the 8:30 a.m. Redevelopment Agency meeting in Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.
Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman will swear in the city officials elected in the June 11 Primary Election. Ward 1 Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem Brian Knudsen and Ward 3 Councilwoman Olivia Diaz were both re-elected to four-year terms. Municipal Court Department 3 Judge Cara Campbell was re-elected to a new six-year term and Rebecca Wolfson was elected to serve in Department 5.
In addition, Ward 5 Councilman Cedric Crear and Ward 6 Councilwoman Nancy Brune will recognize the July city of Las Vegas Citizens of the Month. This month the team that has worked to care for the peafowl at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs will be recognized for their work with these beautiful animals.
The City Council also is scheduled to recognize the Amistad Cristiana Church in downtown Las Vegas for the congregation's work in the community, including providing scholarship opportunities.

Public comment will be available for items on the agenda until 5 p.m. July 16, at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/councilcomment.
