On December 2, 2024, the Massena Police Department responded to Beach Street in the village of Massena, where Officers located two deceased males inside the residence. New York State Police members arrived on the scene to assist the Massena Police Department. When the Troopers arrived, they observed two deceased males with gunshot wounds. The New York State Troop B Forensic Investigation Unit was contacted to respond and process the scene.

This was an isolated incident, there is no threat to the community.

An autopsy will be performed at Canton Potsdam Hospital by Forensic Pathologist Doctor Scott F. LaPoint on today's date, December 3, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., to determine the cause and manner of death.

This is an ongoing investigation.

On December 2, 2024, at approximately 12:59 p.m., New York State Police members responded to a residence on Beach Street in the village of Massena to assist the Massena Police Department with suspicious deaths. Massena Police Department arrived on the scene and observed two deceased males inside the residence.

This investigation is ongoing. We believe this to be an isolated incident. If anyone has information about this incident, they are asked to contact the State Police at 315-379-0012.

The New York State Police, the St. Lawrence County District Attorney's Office, the Massena Police Department, and the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department are conducting this investigation.
