Buffalo Narrows RCMP execute search warrant and seize five firearms

On August 16, 2024 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Buffalo Narrows RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Morin Avenue in Buffalo Narrows as part of an ongoing firearm investigation.

Officers located and seized a shot gun, two rifles, two replication firearms, a rifle scope, ammunition, a baton, and two sawed-off firearm buttstocks at the residence.

An adult female and two adult males were arrested at the scene. The female and one of the males were later released without charge. The other male was found to be in breach of a conditional sentence order and was arrested pending a court hearing.

As a result of continued investigation, 37-year-old Warren Hansen from Buffalo Narrows, SK is charged with:

  • three counts, unsafe storage of firearms, Section 86(2), Criminal Code;
  • two counts, unauthorized possession of a firearm, Section 91(1), Criminal Code; and
  • three counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code.

Buffalo Narrows RCMP continue to work to locate Warren Hansen and ask members of the public to report all sightings and information about his whereabouts.

Warren Hansen is described as approximately 5'9" tall and 170 lbs. He has hazel coloured eyes and brown hair.

If you see Warren Hansen, do not approach him. Report all sightings or information on his whereabouts to your local police service.
