Public’s Help Needed to Identify John Doe

San Diego County Medical Examiner's investigators are asking for the public's help to identify a man hit by a car on Mapleview Street in Lakeside on August 30. They want to notify his family of his death.

Investigators have not been able to identify the man through the standard process, which includes use of fingerprints, dental records, or DNA. A sketch of the man will be released soon.

The decedent appears to be a Caucasian or Hispanic male approximately 55 years of age. He was 5'8 and 205 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. He also had a linear scar on the back of his left hand.

Anyone who believes they may know the identity of the man is asked to call the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office and reference case number 2024-02597.
