City of St. Petersburg Hosting Event to Collect Household Hazardous Waste

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (September 25, 2024) - The City of St. Petersburg is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event to give residents the opportunity to dispose of hazardous household products that shouldn't be placed in the trash.

Saturday, September 28 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
SPC Allstate Center
3200 34th St. S.

The City will be collecting items that pose a fire hazard or environmental concerns when placed in the trash:

• Antifreeze

• Gas

• Household chemicals

• Oil

• Lawn and garden chemicals

• Mercury-containing devices

• Paint products

• Pool/spa products

• Rechargeable batteries

• Signal flares

Residents are encouraged to bring their household hazardous waste items directly to the collection event, where trained professionals will ensure they are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
