Celebrating World Kindness Day with Heart-Shaped Sweetness at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva

Made from the heart and created in the pastry kitchen, Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva is spreading the love this World Kindness Day with a limited-edition dessert that is not only delicious, but also well-meaning. To mark the global celebration on November 13, a special heart-shaped red velvet sponge cake has been created by Pastry Chef Lyece Major, with all proceeds going to the Swiss non-profit organization, Partage.

At Four Seasons, kindness and empathy are deeply rooted in the Hotel's history, creating a service culture that fosters authentic and caring interactions with guests, residents and communities worldwide. Grounded in that core belief that kindness creates a meaningful sense of belonging, Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues has chosen its own sweet way to amplify that global message.

Lyece Major is renowned for his reimaginations of the classics, where basic techniques are combined with unexpected ingredients, flavours and textures. Furthering his passion for making "dessert dreams come true," the red velvet sponge cake is topped with cream cheese mousse and cherry griottes confit, resulting in a heavenly taste for 4 to 6 people.

Only 50 of these irresistible heart-shaped cakes will be made, yet every slice will help to support the important mission of Partage. Fighting hunger and food waste in Geneva, Partage collects unsold goods from food companies and shops, and distributes them free of charge to its beneficiary institutions, which help to feed the city's needy. Every week last year, 15,300 people received food aid from the organization, with 1,934 tons of food being distributed throughout 2023.

To support the ongoing cause, and celebrate the values of World Kindness Day, the red velvet sponge cake will be available from November 13, 2024, with 48 hours required for pre-order. Priced at CHF 60, it can be enjoyed as a takeaway, or inside the Hotel's elegant Bar des Bergues. Reservations can be made at + 41 22 908 71 10.
