Alen Simonyan meets with Speaker of Lower House of Indian Parliament

The delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan being in India on an official visit met with Om Birla, the Speaker of the Lower House (Lok Sabha) of the Indian Parliament. Om Birla welcomed the delegation led by the RA NA President in India and noted that this visit will open new perspectives in bilateral relations.

Alen Simonyan thanked his colleague for warm reception and underscored that such contacts are of significant importance for the development of the Armenian-Indian deepening relations.

The sides discussed a large scope of issues on the inter-parliamentary relations of the two countries, also touching upon other topics regarding the bilateral relations and interests Alen Simonyan presented to Om Birla also some details about the peaceful normalization process of the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.

The RA NA President toured the Indian Parliament building, followed the procedure of the sittings and left a note in the Register Book of Honorary Guests.
