Kansas City area maintenance work for Sept. 23-27

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Sept. 23-27. All work is weather permitting.

CLAY & JACKSON COUNTY

Interstate 435 bridge over the Missouri River: intermittent lane closures from Mon., Sept. 23 until Fri., Sept. 27, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for bridge cleaning and flushing.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Missouri Highway 131 between U.S. Highway 50 and Missouri Highway 2: flagging operations from Mon., Sept. 23 until Thu., Sept. 26, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Route YY between Missouri Highway 13 and Route KK: flagging operation on Mon., Sept. 23, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route Y between Interstate 70 and Emma: flagging operation on Thu., Sept. 26, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair.

PETTIS COUNTY

Route O between US-50 and Route N: flagging operation on Mon., Sept.23 and Tue., Sept. 24, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

Route HH between U.S. Highway 65 and Missouri Highway 135: flagging operation on Wed., Sept. 25 and Thu., Sept. 26, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

RAY COUNTY

Route D between MO-13 and Route C: flagging operation on Mon., Sept. 23, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair.

SALINE COUNTY

Route EE between Missouri Highway 20 and end of state maintenance: flagging operation from Mon., Sept. 23 until Thu., Sept. 26, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
