FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 1, 2024
Spokane Valley, WA- Construction on one of the City of Spokane Valley's most traveled intersections, Pines Road and Mission Avenue, is complete as of Thursday, August 1.
The project improvements include:
The Pines Road and Mission Avenue project is one of several in the city's 2024 construction schedule. To support local businesses that nearby construction projects can potentially impact, the City is launching a one-month messaging campaign encouraging community members to buy local first and patronize Spokane Valley businesses.
Spokane Valley Mayor Pam Haley said "Road construction projects are imperative as our city grows, as they improve safety, reduce congestion, improve overall traffic flow, and often include stormwater upgrades to protect our drinking water. However, the impacts of construction can be challenging to our local businesses, so it's important we support them. Join me in shopping and dining locally, and together, let's show our businesses how much they mean to Spokane Valley."
