Q - Where can I find information related to snow reminders and alerts?
A - You can sign up to receive snow reminders and official SNOW ALERTS via text, phone call, email by joining the CodeRED Emergency Notificaion System Click here to Sign up for CodeRED
Q - When will a SNOW ALERT be issued?
A - Snow alerts will typically be issued with the accumulation of multiple issues of snow, however, each storm is different. It is a good practice to move your vehicle off the roadways any time there is an accumulation of snow to allow them to be plowed. When a SNOW ALERT is announced tickets will be issued for vehicles parked on roadways.
Q - How long do I have to clear my sidewalk after a snow event?
A - You have 72 hours to scoop your sidewalks and crosswalk curb-ramps after snow stops falling. We also recommend that you clear snow from the area around fire hydrants to help the fire department protect people and property in case of an emergency.
Q - Depositioning snow or ice on a public place.
A - It is unlawful for any person to throw or put, or cause to be thrown or put, any snow or ice into any street, avenue or other public place in the City once the street, avenue or other public place has been cleared of snow or ice by City maintenance crews.
